Fire and Ice Facial

My skin has never looked better after getting a Fire and Ice Facial at Bio Spa! A Fire and Ice facial includes the Clear and Brilliant laser treatment followed by an Oxygen sheet mask to cool off your skin! It’s a great facial to get about a week or two before an event when you want your skin to be glowing. Many stars will get this facial before walking on the red carpet! Bio Spa recommends getting your first 3 within 4 weeks apart. Then, getting them once every three months for maintenance. Even after just one facial my skin already is much brighter!

During the summer, my freckles show through even more than normal. After one treatment, my freckles showed through much less, making my skin appear so much brighter! I have tried so many different products trying to get my pores to shrink on my cheeks, and until this facial, nothing worked! I was amazed when I looked in the mirror a few days after and I couldn’t see my pores anymore!!

Clear & Brilliant Laser Treatment

It is a laser facial, so it doesn’t feel great, but Bio Spa numbs you, so it doesn’t hurt too bad! They leave the numbing cream on for about 30 minutes. Then, they do 3 passes with the laser. The first pass doesn’t hurt too bad. You start to feel it more during the 2nd and 3rd pass, but it’s not unbearable. There’s 3 different levels for the laser, and I was on the medium level. It kind of feels like I’m getting my face threaded.

The Clear and Brilliant facial goes 6 layers deep. Your skin automatically repairs itself and sheds, but this laser treatment helps speed up the process. It helps with fine lines and wrinkles, acne, acne scarring, sun spots, melasma and shrinks pores. There’s two different lasers – one is the original that’s better for acne and acne scarring (I got this one), and the other that helps with melasma and discoloration. The PA can help you decide what is best for your skin! Molly did an amazing job explaining everything to me and providing her professional opinion! Oxygen Facial

This sheet mask was so nice after your skin is so hot from the laser! You get to just lay down for about 15 minutes while your skin soaks up all the nutrients! The sheet mask includes hyaluronic acids and other serums that are gentle on your skin.

Aftercare

It takes about 7-8 days for your skin to be 100% healed, but requires very minimal downtime! You skin won’t look crazy during the 7-8 day! (: You should avoid acids and other harsh chemicals for at least 3 days. Right after your treatment, you skin will be red (feels like a sunburn). The redness typically lasts about 24 hours. My skin felt like a sunburn for about an hour after the treatment. Then, it was fine! The pain subsided very quickly! The next day, you’ll be able to wear make up if you want, but the longer you go without make up the better! Your skin will start to feel rough for a few days, and you’ll want to make sure you’re keeping your skin moisturized! Then, you’ll start seeing your skin glow! For me, the roughness went away completely on day 8, but I continued to see results right after the facial! I’ll post my day to day results below!
