How to Show Up on Instagram Stories

Video is changing the game on social media. Instagram has IG stories, IGTV, & now Reels. They’re trying to keep their lead in the social media industry! Tik-tok is forcing the gram to step it up, and now Pinterest has idea pins (formally known as story pins). Social media is really encouraging video content! Don’t let this knock you out of the social media game though! I will share all the tutorials in the Social Greenhouse FB Group to keep you up to speed on the latest trends! Let’s get into it! Specifically into Instagram stories! If you have a Facebook Page connected to your Instagram account, you can share your stories to both which is always a good idea! Stories are a great place to start with video content because you can re-record and does not involve editing if you don’t want to! Keep in mine it will get easier, and you won’t have to redo it as much. Showing up on stories is the perfect way to give your audience a glimpse into what makes you YOU and a little behind the scenes of your life and your business.

If you are making money with your Instagram account, you have a business! Let’s make the most of it!

Ways to show up and show your face on Instagram Stories:

• This or That questions. Answer them yourself too! You don’t have to show your face in these, but it still let’s your audience learn more about you. Make sure you use the “poll” option on Instagram, so you audience can answer the poll!

• Just share little pieces of your life! It doesn’t always have to be about the business. It will feel silly at first, but this is what Instagram stories are for and people watch stories daily to learn more about other people!

• Behind the Scenes. Show your working space, your shop, your office. Even if it’s not perfect or exactly how you want it to look! People come on social media to see realness and want to be able to relate to you! If you’re making candles in your kitchen, you’re inspiring others to take action on their dreams because they need to start somewhere too!

• Packaging up products. If you ship out orders you can show what you include in each order or what people are buying from you. If you don’t ship out orders, maybe show how you put them in the bag what you include.

• Talk about your products. This is a way to show your face without having all the focus on your face! LOL Talk about how your products set you a part from the masses. If you’re not quite ready to show your face, just show the product and talk about it.
